Norfolk Padel was conceptualised in 2023 after a hard-fought game of padel between three North Norfolk residents, Jimmy Goodley, Nick Newbury and George Craig. It turned out that they had all independently come up with a very similar vision to bring padel tennis to Norfolk. It therefore made total sense that they should form a team and bring this dream into reality.

Jimmy is an avid racket sports player and has been playing padel tennis for years. Most importantly in this venture, he is also a local farmer who was willing to re-purpose a small area of land on which to build a padel centre.

Nick first played padel when living in South America in the 90s. Despite this early intro, he is still rubbish! Handily he wrote a business plan at the time to bring padel tennis to the UK and has since refined it somewhat for the 2020s. It only took him 30 years!

Finally, if it involves a racket, George will probably have played it. Fiercely competitive, George will pin you into the corner with a fine-tuned sliced serve or with his trademark down the wall lob, honed from years of playing real tennis.

Jimmy, Nick and George have no shortage of padel tennis enthusiasm and 70 years’ experience of growing businesses between them. They feel passionate about the broad appeal and accessibility of this fast-growing sport and have a vision for Norfolk Padel which is all about making it a force for good in the North Norfolk community.
